1) Progea at the water, gas and electric remote control networks Forum 2011
The Progea software technology continues its expansion and growth, in particular in the infrastructure process control sector. For instance, the Indian state of West Bengal has adopted Movicon as the remote control and Scada with SmartGrid technology to optimize and rationalize electric energy distribution. The powerful Scada architecture controls 150 power substations with 10,000 instruments in 4000 remote stations, through 5 server stations each one with 775,000 variables and accessible via web clients.
Progea will base its participation at the forthcoming 12th edition of the REMOTE CONTROL FORUM on this application as an example of how the Movicon Scada can be used in the water, gas and electric sectors.
This biennial event will take place in Turin on 3rd and 4th November 2011 and is sponsored by Confindustria ANIE-AssoAutomation.

2) Progea USA, LLC now in operation
After establishing Progea International Ltd and pursuant to Progea's international expansion and growth policy, a new branch has just been set up in the United States, Progea USA, LLC, with offices in Appleton, Wiscousin. The post of new company branch manager has been entrusted to Scott Ludwig an already Progea representative in the United States, with the mission to expand company activity and promote the Movicon technology throughout the American territory. Young, competent and highly motivated, Scott Ludwig combines an optimum technical background with a strong clear vision in growth through establishing distributor partnerships, OEMs and direct American system integrator managements.
Progea's international expansion demonstrates once again its highly appreciated innovative Movicon technology and excellent reputation as a platform chosen by international leaders in automation.
3) SPS/IPC/Drives at Nuremburg: 22-24 November 2011
As a tradition, Progea will be participating at the most important leader tradeshows in Europe for automation, organized by MESAGO in Nuremburg (Germany): SPS/IPC/Drives 2011.
Progea Srl, together with Progea Deutschland GmbH, will be showcasing its software technology and the latest Movicon 11.2 novelty from 22nd to 24th November 2011 in Hall 7, stand 191. Our personnel will be more than willing to show curious spectators the Movicon 11.2 technology and give "on line" demos. Spectators will also get the chance to take part in a seminar for a first time preview of the Movicon.neXt new generation technology in beta version based on the new WPF and Silver technologies which the Progea team have been working on.

4) Next Free Movicon 11 Training session
The next free Movicon 11 base course will be held on 15th November at Progea's Modena offices for those who wish to discover and start using the Movicon 11 features. The course starts at 9 am to 5 pm and will demonstrate the basic functionalities used for developing Movicon projects for the first time.
Please be reminded that a calendar showing all the 2011 free courses, held at the Modena offices in Via S. Anna 88/E, can be found on the Progea website: http://www.progea.com/workshop.html.
